When should my child first see a dentist?
The Canadian Dental Association recommends a first visit before your child's first birthday, or no later than six months after the first tooth comes in.
What happens at my child's first visit?
We take it slow. The pediatric dentist looks at the gums and emerging teeth, often without instruments. The visit is a friendly introduction to the team and the room. Cleaning or treatment is added only when it makes sense.
How often should kids see the dentist?
Every 6 months for most children, in line with the Canadian Dental Association. We may suggest a closer schedule based on family history or oral health.
What ages do you treat?
A pediatric dentist is trained to care for children from 6 months through 18 years of age. We see kids at every stage of growth.
How is a pediatric dentist different from a general dentist?
Pediatric dentists complete three additional years of specialized training beyond dental school. Smaller tools, gentler approach, and deeper experience with child behavior and complex pediatric cases.
Do you offer sleep dentistry?
